Philosophies:
In addition to being the world’s largest ocean, Pacific, for Latin based languages, means calm or peaceful. Shield is an object, person or service used to prevent harm. Pacific Shield Realty takes pride in possessing the knowledge, strength and ethics it takes to calmly defend our clients and their real estate endeavors.
Our philosophies and practices best match the real estate trends of today and tomorrow. National Association of Realtors statistics show that people choose realtors not companies with whom they want to do business. This only stands to reason. People do business with people they know and trust, not companies. For that reason Pacific Shield Realty is agent and client centric. It's about the people, not the company. It is unlikely that you will watch a PSR Superbowl commercial or see a PSR blimp. Our money, time and effort is spent on making our agents and clients better, not in making PSR look better.
Technology is always changing and the real estate industry should change with it. Unfortunately most real estate practices, though good in their time, are going the way of the buggy whip. Today’s real estate clients are more sophisticated and knowledgeable. The resources available to them, like the internet, were not even available years ago and yet real estate practice is still slow to react. Agents should know more about standard real estate contracts, disclosures, pitfalls and legal ramifications of real estate transactions than their clients. But clients today, through research on the net or elsewhere, often know more about the neighborhoods, communities, or even the specific type of home they want, than the agent they eventually hire.
Agents are like jungle guides. They must consult with, teach and steer clients away from trouble, but should seldom, if ever, choose the direction or goal for them. Agents may assist, but will never have to manage the property or live there. It must always be a client decision and the client should be well enough informed by the agent to make the right choices for themselves.
How does our awareness help you, the real estate client? The more an agent or company knows, the more resources they have to draw upon, the more adaptive they are to changing technology, the better your transaction and ultimate decision will be. Knowledge is power and, through knowledge, PRS hopes to be the most powerful real estate firm in the nation.
Who are we?
Every real estate transaction is different, but the dangers involved in a real estate transaction are surprisingly similar. In the over 50 years combined real estate experience of the principals in PSR, there are few things they have not directly experienced. PSR’s Administrative Broker, Steve Sanders, has been a residential and commercial agent since 1988, a mortgage lender and a Regional Vice President for a large international commercial bank. The Advice Principals, Mike and Maureen Parniani, have been in the business since 1994 and have established themselves as icons in the REO and Short Sale business. Kat Sanders, the Managing Principal, has been involved in real estate since 1993. Her real estate experience includes management of one of the largest real estate offices (250 agents) in
California. But that experience is only part of what makes PSR great. |
